Overview

What Is Dental Crowns?

Premium all-ceramic crowns restore strength, function, and beauty to damaged or compromised teeth. Using the most advanced materials and techniques, Dr. Sands creates crowns that are indistinguishable from natural teeth — with lifelike translucency, precise anatomical contours, and exact color matching.

Candidacy

Who Is This For?

Good Candidates

Ideal for patients with cracked, fractured, or severely decayed teeth that need structural reinforcement. Also perfect for covering large existing fillings or protecting teeth after root canal therapy.

Not Recommended For

Not recommended for teeth with minor cosmetic concerns that could be treated with veneers or bonding. A clinical evaluation determines the best restorative approach.

Process

What to Expect

01

Examination & Preparation

Dr. Sands examines the tooth and prepares it by removing any decay and shaping it to receive the crown. A digital scan captures precise measurements for fabrication.

02

Digital Impression & Design

A digital impression is taken and sent to our master ceramist. The crown is designed with exact color matching to blend seamlessly with your adjacent teeth.

03

Custom Crown Fabrication

Your crown is crafted from high-strength ceramic materials — lithium disilicate or zirconia — chosen for durability and natural aesthetics. A temporary crown protects your tooth in the interim.

04

Precision Placement

In your second visit, the temporary is removed and your custom crown is bonded with precision. Dr. Sands verifies the fit, bite, and appearance before final cementation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do porcelain veneers last?

With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years or longer. We use the highest-grade materials and custom fabrication to ensure maximum longevity.

Does the veneer process hurt?

Minimal to no discomfort. We use advanced numbing techniques, and most patients describe the process as completely painless. You'll leave with a temporary smile the same day.

How many visits does a smile makeover require?

Most smile makeovers are completed in two to three visits. The first for consultation and digital design, the second for preparation and temporaries, and the third for final placement.

Do you offer financing options?

Yes, we work with several premium medical financing partners to make your dream smile accessible. Our patient concierge will discuss all options during your consultation.

Can you match the exact shade of my teeth?

Absolutely. Our master ceramist works from high-resolution photography and custom shade mapping to create restorations that match perfectly — or achieve your ideal shade.

Do you see international patients?

Yes, we regularly see patients from Dubai, London, Tokyo, and beyond. We coordinate travel-friendly treatment schedules and offer virtual consultations for international clients.
